How Do I Meet People?

First Presbyterian Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at First Pres of Bishop.

Small Groups

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, Presbyterian Church has small bible studies held at the church and in members’s homes. The size of the group varies.

Youth Ministry – Kidmo

Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in Kidmo.

Women’s Ministry

First Pres Women’s Groups gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s ministry are times of Bible study, prayer, and once a year a retreat weekend at Lake Tahoe! These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Men’s Prayer Group

On Sunday evenings, there is a Men’s Prayer Group who gather for fellowship and Bible Study.

Hiking Ministry

We have a group of members who go for hikes in the nearby Sierras for fun and fellowship.
